Case Worker – Muswellbrook
Youth Off The Streets' Mission is helping disconnected young people to discover greatness within, by engaging, supporting & providing opportunities to encourage & facilitate positive life choices.
We are seeking a highly competent and professional case worker with the ability to develop and manage case reviews for our young people.
You will be expected to: -
- Work closely with clients and their families where appropriate to ensure either successful reunification or reintegration of the young person into a safe and stable community living situation
- Oversee all elements of case management, case plans and their execution, including: intake procedures; assessment; direct service provision; planning and coordination of services; monitoring and review of plans; exit planning and follow-up, in close consultation with DoCS and program staff.
Essential Requirements : -

Relevant qualifications
- Understand of culturally sensitive issues and ability to communicate effectively with all members of the community
- Minimum 3 years senior youth worker and or caseworker.
- Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge of case management theory and best practice principles
- Minimum 2 years experience in direct services provision in child welfare
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the youth and welfare sectors, their services and systems and strong working relationships within these sectors.
- Superior communication skills, including written and verbal presentation skills, diplomatic and effective liaison and interpersonal skills.

Outreach Youth Worker
Youth Off The Streets Outreach programs operate from Airds and have been so successful we need qualified youth workers to continue to expand the program.
Through creative and proactive interventions we aim to create a safe physical and psychological space where young people can gather together, feel supported and seek advice. Our programs offer a range of activities such as: basketball, volleyball, music, education assistance, support services and a free BBQ with our aim to address the development needs of the young people.
You will be tertiary qualification in social work / psychology / social sciences or welfare related discipline as well as
:-
- Experience in outreach youth work
- Experience in data collection, program evaluation & planning
- Knowledge of the community
- Knowledge in child protection procedures
- Counselling experience and skills
- Current driver's licence

Regional Manager of Group Homes/ Residences

This is a senior role – reporting to the Deputy Director of Residential and Outreach Services and will have accountability for managing 25 + staff as well as overseeing 5 residential homes in the Southern Highlands region.
Keys to your success will be:
- Experience in managing and leading staff in a similar environment
- Experience in residential care for Youth with challenging behaviours
- Experience in working with adolescents and behaviour management
- Strong administration and organisation skills
- Experience in working towards Accreditation with the Childrens Guardian
You will have experience in developing relationships with a host of external bodies such as Juvenile Justice, DoCS, OCCG, The NSW Ombudsman, Police and Local Council.

- Demonstrated working knowledge of the youth and welfare sectors, their services and systems and working relationships within these sectors.
- Superior communication skills, including written and verbal presentation skills, diplomatic and effective liaison and interpersonal skills
- Current NSW drivers licence

Clinical Services Manager - Youth Sector

Our Clinical Manager is responsible for leading a team of professionally qualified staff to develop, implement and evaluate psychological services including treatment programs, group work and individual counselling to young people in care.
The role is based in Merrylands and will require monthly travel to the Southern Highlands and Muswellbrook to see staff in these locations.
You will have accountability for :-
- Maintaining the integrity of the clinical program by guiding the models of intervention through research based (best practice) methodologies
- Guiding the work of others in compliance with residential – OOHC bench mark standards and APS requirements
- Participating in the agency's accreditation continuous improvement path for the Office of the Children's Guardian
- Clinical supervision of staff including a number of interns
You will have :-
- Current Registration with NSW Board of Psychology with a minimum of 5 years experience
- Experience in providing therapeutic intervention for young people with challenging behaviours and working from a strengths based perspect with our young people
- Experience in group work and crisis counselling
- Experience in conducting, interpreting and reporting on psychometric testing for adolescents
