The original This Is Your Life book complete with legendary Australian Golfer, Greg Norman’s autographed script to go under the hammer at a life changing event for Youth Off The Streets

Donated by This is Your Life Presenter and Journalist, Mike Munro, the original This Is Your Life book is set to generate a great deal of interest from a wide variety of collectors as it goes to auction at the fourth annual Youth Off The Streets Celebration of Youth Ball.

Appearing in the first series of This Is Your Life, the book was used to celebrate the lives of over 50 successful Australians who have significantly contributed to Australian society including; Bryce Courtnay, Garry McDonald, Steven and Mark Waugh, David Williamson, Maggie Tabberer, Peter Brock and even Father Chris Riley.

Originally a picture book of Canada, This Is Your Life producers removed the centre pages to attempt to lighten the heavy book that was held by Mike Munro for an hour and a half at a time in the filming of the first series. Mr Munro eventually developed an injury from holding the heavy book in one hand for long periods and it was replaced by a lighter version.

The book comes complete with a Greg Norman autographed copy of the complete script from the This Is Your Life episode celebrating his life. It folds commemorative photos of personalities celebrated and sits mounted for posterity in a beautifully crafted wooden and Perspex case.

For your chance to secure this original collectors item join Father Chris Riley, CEO and Founder of Youth Off The Streets and his host Mike Munro as they celebrate the presentation of 20 scholarships to disadvantaged young people from around the nation.

The scholarships are win-win for both parties; disadvantaged young people get a real chance to prove their worth in their chosen career, while those generous enough to offer money can see real results as they follow the achievements of their sponsored scholarship recipient,” said Mike Munro, This is Your Life Presenter and Journalist.

Guests will also have the opportunity to make a difference and win some fabulous prizes including a brand new Kia Sorrento, exquisite jewellery and a Paul McCartney signed guitar.

Now in it’s fourth year, the 2007 Youth Off The Streets Celebration of Youth Ball is set to be the event of the year that is not to be missed.

About Youth Off The Streets:

Youth Off The Streets is a community organisation working for young people who are chronically homeless, drug dependent and recovering from abuse. We support these young people as they work to turn their lives around and overcome immense personal traumas such as neglect and physical, psychological and emotional abuse.

Since opening in 1991, Youth Off The Streets has grown from a single food van delivering meals to young homeless people on the streets of Kings Cross to a major youth specific agency providing a wide range of services offering a full continuum of care.

It is our goal that these young people will leave our care drug free, with a high school education, living skills and a full or part time job in hand.
