that you not only care about giving them a better future
but you are willing to help us make it happen.
Youth Off The Streets is committed to ensuring that
donated funds are used to assist young people in need.
We are proud to confirm that a minimum of 84 cents in
every dollar goes to the direct care and education of
youth in our programs.

Committed giving:
Setting up a regular credit or debit card deduction
is one of the easiest and fuss-free way of supporting
Youth Off The Streets. Once you decide what you
can afford to donate, the nominated funds are
automatically deducted from your chosen account
at the specified intervals and you will receive
one consolidated receipt at the end of the financial
year. You can stop or suspend your donation at
any time.
By committing to a regular donation, you are
providing YOTS with predictable and reliable income
and because the administrative costs are lower
than one-off donations, more of your donation
can assist our programs.

Your
special celebration can brighten young lives
More and more people are choosing to invite their guests
to make a donation to benefit a cause that they are
interested in rather than receive presents for special
occasions.
Anniversaries, weddings, Christmas, birthdays (especially
the big ones like 40th & 50th birthdays) are popular
celebration events! We rely on donations from supporters
like you to help us continue to reclaim the chronically
homeless youth of Australia.
We send a receipt to all those who contribute, and
all donations are tax deductible!
HOSTS: Contact our Development Coordinator (Donor Relations)
prior to your event to receive a custom donation brochure
designed for your special event. This can be sent with
your invitations to ensure your guests are aware of
your intentions.
GUESTS: Donations can be made by cheque or credit card
and can be sent via the host, or sent directly to:

Organise
an Event
Holding a fundraising event is a way you can support our
disadvantaged young people, and have fun at the same time!
From schools and universities to sports clubs and workplaces;
fundraising is a great way to encourage community spirit.
Make it fun and you’ll find people will jump at
the chance to get involved.
There are plenty of options to choose from –
below are a few ideas to help get your creative juices
flowing:
- Hold a theme day
– charge your fellow students / colleagues a
gold coin & encourage them to dress up for the
occasion.
- Trivia nights
– always popular with work mates!
- Sports days
– sports clubs & venues have been a great
success with charity sports days for members &
guests (eg. Golf, tennis, fishing).
- Get sponsored
– you could get sponsored to walk to work for
a month; or to cycle from Sydney to Wollongong
- Stalls –
round up your friends and create culinary delights
or crafts to sell at a stall
- Have a party
– everyone loves a good knees-up, and parties,
dances and the like are a fabulous way to raise money.
Do be aware however, that
successful events require careful planning and a fair
bit of organising – so think carefully when considering
what type of event you’d like to run.
- Raffles & auctions always add much-needed extra
funds to an event, as well as getting everyone involved
in the fun & festivities. We have found that many
individuals and businesses are very generous with
donating prizes for our fundraising events. (Don’t
forget to mention their kind support on the day.)
Youth Off The Streets’
involvement
We greatly appreciate and enjoy the varied events that
people organise on our behalf. However, resources dictate
that we are limited in the assistance we can provide
you with when holding fundraising events.
If you are interested in organizing an event for Youth
Off The Streets, and for details of how we may be able
to help, please contact our Events Co-ordinator on (02)
1800 06 22 88 or email events@youthoffthestreets.com.au.
Check out what’s coming up in our Events
Calendar.

Your
Organisation can help
Youth Off The Streets has a comprehensive program available
for corporate supporters. Please contact our Development
Office to discuss your ideas. Some of our requirements
are outlined below: Financial
Support
Operating costs for Youth Off The Streets will exceed
$14 million in the 2005/06 financial year. Thirty-five
percent of these funds are raised through government support,
leaving around $9 million to be raised through private
and corporate supporters. We
invite you to join our Corporate Supporters family. Financial
contributions, large or small, are gratefully received.
Please contact our Development
Office to discuss your contribution and our methods
of acknowledgement. Pro
Bono
When working with pro bono supporters Youth Off The Streets
aims for a professional relationship, where both parties
are achieving their goals.
We are very happy to discuss ways in which Youth Off The
Streets can acknowledge your organisations support in
a manner most fitting the goals of your company. |

Gifts in Kind
Operating a multi-facility organisation is complex and
expensive. We accommodate over 100 young people every
night in 15 locations in New South Wales. Just as in
every household, we need consumables - often in quantity.
Assistance in lowering these costs would be appreciated.
Second Hand goods:
Donations of second hand goods, particularly furniture,
can be sold at Op Shops located in Maitland, Cessnock
and Singleton in the Hunter Valley, Bowral and Goulburn
in the Southern Highlands, and Wyoming and Newcastle
on the Central Coast and Casula in Sydney.
Raffle and Auction Items
Because of the many functions that we are involved in
over any 12 month period - we are constantly requesting
items for auction at these events. Such items may be
weekends for two, dinners, art works, household items,
tickets to special events, air flights and other exciting
products.
Payroll
Deduction Scheme
Youth Off The Streets has created this initiative as
a means of involving individuals within your organisation.
We will work in tandem with your accounting and marketing
staff to ensure that more of your people are involved
with your preferred charity - Youth Off The Streets.
As little as five dollars a week from many employees
makes a big difference.

have clothing or house goods you wish to part with?
We would really appreciate the donations. We have 2
